Although Luca and Samantha only wanted their absolute nearest and dearest at their wedding, they were very keen on having good photography coverage throughout the day. They were married in St Salvators’ Chapel and after photographing their family and friends in the Quad, we took a detour to the beach before heading to The Old Course Hotel for their wedding reception.
It just goes to show – even at small weddings theer is enough time to capture fantastic shots and memories.
Ryan and Suzie didn’t want a terribly big wedding and opted for just a few hours photography coverage and they were delighted with their photos.
The weather couldn’t have been better and they were able to get married outside overlooking fantastic views of the sea and St Andrews.
Last Saturday was a big day in St Andrews – it was the Fashion Show – and I was commissioned by Scottish Woman magazine to cover the event, quite a change from photographing weddings.
I travelled up to the Fairmont Hotel to photograph the Alfa Romeo Young Designer Award. In all, there were six finalists chosen from an overwhelming number of applications. The winners were George Jenkins and Luke Archer who had worked as a pair creating exceptionally innovative bags, hats and clothing, some of which you can see in the images below. Once the winners had been announced it was a mad dash home for a quick change and then off to the fashion show.
What an amazing event – I loved it. The atmosphere was palpable – so many beautiful people; lots of champagne and the show itself was breath taking. What a fantastic job the students do in organising this event each year, it’s the biggest student event in the whole of the UK. It was so well run, it was easy to forget that this isn’t even their day job, they still have their studies to attend to!
