A Recipe for the Perfect Wedding

Take a bride and groom (that’s Jamie and Marc) so delighted to be getting married; add in -  a beautiful church (that’s St James’ on the Scores) and reception venue, (Kinkell Byre, which happens to be one of my favourites); then add detailed planning in terms of both the photography and the effort placed to ensure all their guests have a marvellous time; mix in a sunny day – and there you have it - a perfect wedding! 

Although Jamie and Marc wanted their photography in various locations, they were keen to maintain a relaxed and informal approach.  When you have a happy couple such as they, it’s not difficult to capture the mood of the day……………

A Wedding at the Old Course Hotel

Just finished off a lovely wedding from Saturday held in St Salvator’s Church, St Andrews and then the Old Course Hotel.  We were very fortunate with the weather as Emma and Gareth wanted some pics on the West Sands and we just made it back to The Old Course in time before the rain came on.   Gareth had organised a horse a carriage so it really was good luck that the weather prevailed.

We had fun on the beach as all the bridesmaids and groomsmen came along too and we had a bit of an Olympic theme going on with Mo Farah and Usain Bolt poses!  

I didn’t cover the speeches but came back later on in the evening to cover the first dances.  Emma and Gareth had a ceilidh and when I left the party was already in full swing!

 

A Crail Wedding

I’m just working on an album for a wedding I did in May.  The ceremony was in Holy Trinity Church in Crail and we took the opportunity to head down to the harbour first of all for some fantastic photos there before heading to St Andrews and a quick visit to the Swilken Bridge before making our way to the Old Course Hotel where the wedding breakfast was held. 

It had been raining almost the whole month of May but on Gillian and Calum’s wedding day, the sun shone all day long with hardly a cloud in the sky.  At the Old Course Hotel we made our way out to the roof terrace for some additional photos and the views were just spectacular.  They were so fortunate, given the dreadful summer we have had!
